- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Great Trail for someone not used to hiking that is ok with ups and downs, and some narrow climbs. This is the whiteshell so a lot of the trail up or down hills would have exposed rock that you need to climb up and down. We got there early and brought lots of water and also food, so we stopped ate lunch and then turned around and hiked back. Definitely take a lot of water and something to eat. The views are great, and we went early in the season when the snow had melted but the lake was still mostly frozen, and there were no bugs out to annoy us or bite. So that was really nice. Great way to spend part of a day.By Terry Peristerakis, March 27, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I went there in a wrong season :(. so I cannot really rate it. The trail was too icy today (winter has just ended), and I return after trying hiking for 20 mins. I slipped just too many time and fell twice within 15 mins. I did not want to risk my life, and decided to return. I though just walked on the lake to go back to the parking lot :) oh, another thing to be mentioned is my car got stuck in snow on the road to the parking space. so, if you are not a good driver like me, wait until snow melts. Some of the things I saw in the first 15 mins of the course was beautiful. especially, the cliff was cool. I felt like trying rock climbing on it. :) I will come back here for sure and rerate it.By A Sh, March 23, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Relatively difficult trail with lots of ups and down, Better to start in the morning as it takes about 4-5 hours depending on our fitness level. Please do not forget to take plenty of water and snacks.By Vijaya Chitnis, December 14, 2016
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Well that was challenging! Did the trail in about 6 hours at a leisurely pace. Word to the wise bring at least 2 L of water for a 10C day and more if it is warmer. There are a lot of uneven surfaces, so take your time regarding foot placement when descending. Choose your footwear well. Bring a snack you'll need a break and a little rest. Great scenery. The shelter at the end of the trail needs to be rebuilt as it is a shamble. No protection from the rain at the shelter if your needing that. Shame on the Provincial Park for the condition of the shelter. Parks could also replace the signs that are badly weathered or have rotted off the trees they were nailed too and are laying on the ground. Fantastic day despite my mini rant to Parks.By Bob Kovachik, September 23, 2016
